This new work is designed with the CAD program Rhino, and then created on a 3D printer.  My designs are always bold, graphic and geometric, regardless of medium. I love the minimalism of matte black, but some pieces demand to be painted.  My industrial design background serves me well, as I am intrigued by moving parts and challenge myself to create elements that slide, roll and swivel. I am now incorporating sound, produced by balls moving across various surfaces. What may appear simple to the eye becomes far more interesting as it is transformed when worn. The nylon material is very light, which frees me to create large pieces that can be worn in comfort. Each idea generates another and I am very excited about the possibilities of this new medium.
