About this Exhibitor / Bio:
Elizabeth Garvin is an artist working in the medium of jewelry. It’s the perfect form to express her interest in natural sciences, geology and metallurgy, and to work each day with the most beautiful of natural elements. Her designs are inspired by natural geometry and rendered with a distinctly modernist sensibility. She is a self-taught jeweler with a deep technical curiosity. She approaches structure and mechanics with an elegant fluidity, instilled and nurtured by her father, an architect and engineer. Her recent work is an exploration of mixed metals, cleanly fabricated to create visual contrasts and detailed patterning rendered in oxidized sterling silver, 18k and a wide variety of usual stones.
